The Hypastart is a battery-free jump starter that incorporates a high-capacity supercapacitor, creating a product that is not only lightweight and extremely powerful, but also extremely safe to use. Unlike traditional lead-acid or lithium battery jump starters, there is no risk of gas vaporization, fire, or explosion.
The Durst Hypastart has features not typically found in other jump starters, most notably the “HYPACHARGE” function, which allows users to start a vehicle with a dead battery, even if the Hypastart is weak or even completely empty.
The Hypastart can recharge itself from a vehicle with a dead battery by simply connecting the starter cables to the battery, moving the switch to the “ENERGIZE” position, and waiting a few minutes for the green “READY” light to illuminate, indicating it is ready to start. Move the switch to the “START” position and start the engine. After a few seconds of running the engine, move the switch back to the “ENERGIZE” position to charge the jump starter, and back to the “OFF” position when the green “READY” light comes on and you are fully charged and ready to start the engine several times without needing to charge it first.
